Summary

Preparing for a tsunami requires a diverse array of specialists and programs. The National Tsunami Hazard Mitigation Program (NTHMP) is consciously divided into three subcommittees that cover the fundamental aspects of tsunami preparedness. The NTHMP’s three subcommittees: Mapping and Modeling, Mitigation and Education,
and Warning Coordination.
